Cabinet Locks [Friday
November 17th, 10:50am]

I thank to my husband's friend who do the cabinet locks. They are real. They are awesome. They are lifesaver. They are BEST in the world more than any cabinet locks at store you ever seen.

I suggest you to get them. They are very pricey beacuse it is success to protect away from kids even babies.

I love those so much. They are in my house installed already.

No more worries about those. You will have remote to control to turn it on when you are not use in kitchen. You will have remote to control to turn it off when you are in kitchen and need to cook or whatever.

Believe me.

My son has just turned 6 months old, and for the past couple days he's been grunting and groaning a lot. No, he's not constipated. He poops just fine. I think it's just a new sound he's added to his vocabulary. (He coughs a lot too, for the heck of it.) Does anyone else's baby do this?

Odd question [Thursday

My right boob is I would say a cup or two bigger then my left one. The thing is I can tell the left one has more milk in it, I can only tell because my left breast pad always is way full more then the right one and I change that one more often. Can someone please tell me why this is and if its normal and if it will go away?? Its hard to wear alot of shirts.

Also not to brag or anything but I just put a pair of my pre-prego jeans on and then fit! I am so stinking excited, but I dont have any shirts that fit because my boobs are soo big haha. All I can wear is t-shirts looks like I will be doing some shopping this weekend :)

Dec 8, 2005, 2:17 a.m... Vincent entered the world!

7 lbs 15 oz, 20.5 inches long.

It's sort of a funny story. I went to my doctor's appointment and they did a cervical exam at my request. The doctor accidently broke my water and I had to go to the hospital to get treated with antibiotics since I tested postive for a bacteria called group b strep.

Childbirth is hard!! It's the hardest thing I've ever done. It hurt like hell, sure, but the pain wasn't so bad up until about the end, just before it was time for me to push him out. The pain in my back was intolerable, and my legs were so tense, I couldn't relax. So I got a narcotic to calm me down so I could deal with the pain. That, in combination with the bathtub, helped considerably. It was hard, but it was about as bad as I thought it would be...

Finally the pictures, courtesy of my sister Kari:

my baby boy, and family.Collapse )

The first couple of days were really tough. In the hospital I had such bad insomnia after he was born that I had to get them to knock me out with ambien so I could maintain. I was hallucinating the fetal heartbeat monitor for hours and hours after he was born. I slept like, an hour, in a 48 hour period. It sucked. I cried for an hour straight in the hospital because I was so overwhelmed... but I feel a lot better now. Caring for him isn't so hard... getting into the swing of things now, I can actually sleep, and breastfeeding is going very well. He eats, sleeps, and craps like a champion. I expect nothing less from the little conquerer.

Now he is 3 weeks old and 3 days today. :) He has alert periods, stays awake longer and sleeps longer (usually). He goes about 3 hours between feedings, that's not bad at all. He reached out and grabbed an object already, his eyes focus pretty well, and he's a strong little bugger when he's all squirmy and such. Just thought I'd update.

How much is too much? [Sunday
October 16th, 4:44pm]

lilnettie16
Quick question...

For a four week old baby how much formula is too much? I want to make sure I'm not over feeding my son...

So far (I've been keeping track today, a first for me! LOL) he's eaten 20 ounces from 12am until 4:45pm. I'm just curious if there is a set standard for an "overeating" amount of formula. This kid has gotten chubby! LOL He's still adorable though.

Just thought I'd get some opinions. My hubby thinks I'm overfeeding him. I don't think so because I feed him when he's hungry....If he's not hungry he won't take it.

Hah, today was alright. :) Got a few pictures I'm going to share with you guys though.

The first two are of Ryan in this adorable outfit!!! I think he looks so cute in this!!

The last one is of what he did to me while I was burping him this evening.

Doesn't it make you just love them to death? It felt SO GROSS!!!!

The three picturesCollapse )

Don't you just love newborns? It went all the way down to the top of my pants. How gross. LOL And then just minutes ago, I got crapped on, pee'd on, and spit up on again. Lordy we've been having a bad day. Hehe.

Feeding question [Friday
October 7th, 6:39pm]

lilnettie16
[ mood | bouncy ]

Hey guys, got a question for you....

My son is three weeks old today. We've been on a rough schedule with feeding it seems like. He'll eat 2ozs one time, 6 ozs the next, 4 ozs the next...and the times can vary as well...1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours etc. It's frustrating because I never know when he'll want to eat next! Is this normal? He's gained 2lbs since he was born as well...Is that normal? My mother (Lord knows I love her but....hehe) tells me he's eating too much and that I should just give him water with a bit of apple juice in it instead of formula if he wants to eat every hour. There was a time where he was eating 4ozs + of formula every two hours as well, and the apple juice and water was what she suggested. I was just curious to know if this was normal or not. My son looks chubbier since he was born, he looks huge actually! LOL I mean, I know he's just filling out and what not, but I don't want to overfeed him or anything. Should I be worried?

What's the best thing about being a new mommy? It's pretty terrifying as of now. But I'm still excited about the prospect of teaching him, watching him grow, and smile, and see what kind of mind he has, and of course what he looks like (can't help that). He's gonna be a smart boy. ^_^!
What's one thing that frustrates you the most about being a new mommy? Waiting for the daddy to get work! Aaah! But I still love him ~

I like good communities, this one will be particularly helpful to me in a couple of months, so I'll be glad to help it get started. ^_^

Welcome! [Thursday
October 6th, 12:25pm]

lilnettie16
Hi! I just wanted to welcome everyone that will be joining this community! (Hopefully! hehe) I am the maintainer of this community and I hope to see it grow with time!!! I thought this would be a fun thing to do and concentrate on since I am a stay-at-home Mom currently with my son, Ryan, who is 20 days old. My husband is serving in the US Army in Germany. So the time difference is going to be a bit strange for me at first with everyone else posting when I'm asleep.

Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself, and I hope everyone will like it here. Everyone's allowed to post, and please ask all questions and advice that you want. I'll try to comment as much as I can and I just would like this to be a very active community.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings!!!
